Vetted SecOps is an independent defensive-security publication for practitioners. Our goal is to turn reliable evidence and hands-on experience into guidance that is useful at implementation and verification time—not merely timely.
Evidence standard
We begin with official advisories, standards, vendor documentation, and primary technical research whenever they are available. Articles distinguish sourced facts from analysis and operational recommendations. Unsupported versions, commands, indicators, and remediation claims are not added.
Human technical review
A cybersecurity practitioner reviews affected products, commands, mitigations, links, assumptions, and validation steps before publication. When a recommendation has not been reproduced in a representative environment, that limitation should be stated rather than implied away.
What automation does
Automation may collect sources, extract facts, classify material, and prepare a structured draft or review checklist. It cannot approve or publish an article. Final editorial and technical responsibility remains with the human reviewer.
Original value
Publishable guides should add practical value beyond summarizing a source—for example, a validation procedure, configuration comparison, decision matrix, implementation checklist, or lab observation.
Corrections
Security guidance changes. When a material error or outdated claim is identified, we correct the article and record the meaningful change when it affects the reader’s decision or implementation.
Commercial independence
Commercial relationships do not determine technical conclusions. Affiliate links and sponsorships are disclosed clearly. We do not claim first-hand product experience unless the product or service was actually evaluated using a stated method.
Safe use
Commands and configurations must be tested in a disposable or representative environment before production use. Vetted SecOps content is educational and does not replace organization-specific risk assessment, change control, legal advice, or vendor support.
